Ayo Dosunmu led Minnesota with 27 points and nine rebounds Saturday, while Kofi Cockburn helped Hiroshima finish a weekend sweep in Japan.

We’re also catching up with Adam Miller in Belgium, Coleman Hawkins in Grand Rapids camp and Trent Frazier in Italy. Then we’re going back to November 1, 2019, when a freshman Kofi introduced himself to the State Farm Center crowd with a double-double.

From Kofi cleaning up the glass in Japan to Ayo filling it up in the NBA, there’s always another former Illini to keep up with. Subscribe for free to follow along, or go paid to support The Dunker Spot.

Ayo leads the way, plus three Illini in one NBA game

Ayo Dosunmu led Minnesota with 27 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s 121–111 loss at San Antonio. He started and played 37:49, shooting 11-for-17 with three assists and three steals.

That followed a Friday night worth circling for Illini fans: Ayo, Terrence Shannon Jr. and Keaton Wagler all played in Minnesota’s 127–101 win over the Clippers. Three former Illini in the same NBA game, and all three reached double figures.

Thanks to my buddy Evan for pointing me in the direction of this photo.
